Army units on Sunday repelled terrorist groups' attacks on military posts, killed many terrorists and destroyed several of their weapons-loaded cars in various areas.

Terrorist groups' dens destroyed in Damascus

A large number of terrorists were killed in neighborhoods in Damascus city and various areas in the countryside as a result of a number of precise special operations.

SANA reporter quoted an official source as saying that units of the armed forces eliminated several armed terrorist groups in Deir Attiyeh town in the countryside and dismantled scores of explosive devices planted on roads and in the town and al-Nabek area.

The process of clearing Qara city after the army has recently restored security to it continued, with many explosive devices being dismantled, the source added.

Army units repelled members of armed terrorist groups that tried to attack military posts and checkpoints in al-Bahariyeh, al-Qassmiyeh and al-Qariyeh al-Shamiyeh in the eastern Ghouta.

The source affirmed that many of the terrorists got killed and injured, while a number of cars loaded with weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Deir Salman town.

The source told SANA that a number of terrorists were killed in Harasta and Adra al-Balad, while terrorist groups' dens were destroyed in Erbin town.

Army units killed and injured a number of terrorists in Zamalka and destroyed others' den in Joubar neighborhood which contained mortars and rounds that had been used in targeting residential areas in the city.

Other army units, the source said, destroyed a gathering for terrorists affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra near Zein al-Abdeen Mosque in Babila town, killing many of the terrorists.

Radwan Kahil, leader of the so-called "Ababil Houran Battalion" was identified among the dead, in addition to many mercenary terrorists of foreign nationalities, including Omar Jadallah from Pakistan.

In the meantime, the army units continued operations in the neighborhoods of al-Qaboun and Barzeh in the city of Damascus.

A den for an armed terrorist group calling itself "Al-Maham Battalion" was destroyed in Bustan al-Basha in Barzeh. Most of the group's members were killed, including its leader Hasan Abdul-Azim.

Army destroys car loaded with weapons coming from Lebanon in Homs

A terrorists' car carrying large amounts of ammunition coming from Lebanon was destroyed by an army unit in Muthalath al-N'eimat in al-Qseir in the countryside of Homs, a military source told SANA.

The source added that other army units pounded terrorists' dens in al-Rastan and the villages of Deir Foul, al-Za'faraneh, Taldo, al-Tibeh, al-Dar al-Kabira and al-Ghasbiyeh.

Members of armed terrorist groups were killed and injured and their weapons were destroyed in Jouret al-Shayah and al-Waer neighborhoods.

Infiltrating terrorists repelled in Aleppo

An attempt by a group of terrorists to infiltrate safe areas in Maisaloun neighborhood was foiled by an army unit whose members repelled the terrorists and destroyed their weapons, leaving them dead and wounded, according to a military source.

Another army unit, the source said, killed all members of an armed terrorist group who were infiltrating from Khan Touman into the city of Aleppo to attack a military post. The terrorists' weapons were seized.

Several gatherings and dens for terrorists were destroyed in the neighborhoods and areas of al-Rashdin, Sheikh S'eed, Khan Touman, al-Wdeihi, Jadidet Kweires, Sheikh Najjar, al-Sakhour, Hreitan, al-Naqarin and in the surrounding of al-Kindi Hospital and the Central Prison of Aleppo.

Most of the group's members were killed, including its leader Hassan Abdulazim.

Terrorists' attacks repelled, weapons-loaded cars destroyed in Idleb

Meanwhile, a military source told SANA that a unit of the armed forces confronted an armed terrorist group that tried to attack a military post in to the southeast of Idleb city.

Most of the group's members were killed, including Khalid Haj al-Omar, Ahmad Shbeib, Abdul-Qader Kurdi, Ahmad Shalish, Mohammad Khalid Zaidan, Mahmoud Kurdi, Abdul-Qader Suleiman and Abdul-Khaleq Suleiman.

Other similar attempts to attack military posts in the area between al-Hamdiyeh and Wadi al-Daif in the countryside were repelled, according to the source.

The source added that an army unit killed and injured many terrorists and destroyed 10 of their cars that were loaded with weapons and ammunition in the areas near M'artamsarin intersection, to the east of Binnesh military checkpoint and in Abo al-Duhour, Saraqeb, Sarmin and al-Rami.
